I have played my fair share of super hero games such as marvel ultimate alliance, ultimate Spiderman and x-men legends but Batman Arkham Asylum mashes them all up into a fine powder and takes my opinion on super hero games to a whole new level. There is a lot of hand to hand fights against the jokers henchmen that looks great and feels great to play; but there are also some other points in the game where you need to be stealthy by swinging amongst the many gargoyles that just so happened to be conveniently placed in the correct places; then swinging down and breaking all the enemies necks or swinging upside down from a gargoyle with your face close enough to kiss them and tying them all up.
The only problem with this game to me is the fact that when you destroy a thug atop of a gargoyle all the other henchmen just squabble about shouting 'WHERE IS HE' when you are a man hanging upside down with your cloak brushing against every enemy that walks past you... my problem may be fixed on a higher difficulty but hell, lower difficulty shouldn’t be this easy.
